Reindeer Games & Sensory Fun!

As part of our 12 Days of Holiday Fun we're sharing 3 Games and 4 Sensory Activities for you to do with your family!

Reindeer Games!

Have a snowball fight! If there's real snow on the ground then bundle up and head outside! However, cotton balls or these 'snowballs' from Amazon work too (Amazon.com: Homiar 50 Pack Snow Toy Balls for Kids Indoor, Artificial Snow Fight Balls Kids Toys, Indoor Snow Fight Ball Set, Soft Snow Fake Balls Party Supplies Parent Child Throwing Game : Home & Kitchen)!

Practice throwing overhand, underhand, through a hoop, catching the snowball and more!

Pin the carrot on the snowman! Another time when snow on the ground is a bonus! If not, draw a snowman on construction paper and hang it on the wall. Ask your child to pin the carrot on the snowman with pre-taped paper carrots! Trying different ways of approaching the snowman. Can you hop to the snowman and pin the carrot on? What if I spin you around before you walk over! So dizzy!

(Love Bug advises against playing with a real-life reindeer :))

Sensory Fun!

Insta Snow! This product is super easy to use...just add water! Littles enjoy watching it expand and then have fun exploring how it feels and creating with it. Do you wanna build a snowman? (Amazon.com: Steve Spangler Science The Original Insta-Snow Powder (makes 3 gallons - 100g) : Office Products)

Cotton Balls! Cotton balls are super easy and cheap way to create a sensory experience at home. You can build with them, toss them, add animals or spoons. What happens when they get wet?

Shaving Cream! You probably already have this at home! Put it in a bowl or tray, or even onto a table, add animals and watch your kid create! You can also add food coloring (if you're feeling really brave!).

Ice cubes (or real snow!) If there's snow on the ground, it's always fun to head outside and see what it feels like. Is it hot or cold? Soft or hard? Sticky or powdery? For babies that don't want to or can't go outside, grab a handful of snow or ice cubes from the fridge and let them explore!

Let us know if you try any of the above! We hope you all have fun!
